Howard’s Mile High Club via I-295 Shut Down
Would it surprise you to learn that Howard Stern has a rest stop name after him along I-295 in New Jersey? Nah, it doesn’t surprise me either.
Before I get into details about this story…I should note the reason behind the stop being named after him has to do with his endorsement of Christie Whitman during the 1993 gubernatorial campaign in which she promised to have a plaque inscribed with his name showcased at the stop as a thank you for his support.
Anyway, reason for the shut down? Motorists stopped by to fornicate in the bathrooms. I hate the word “fornicate,” but I’m trying to spice this up for ya. However, officials are stating otherwise deeming it’s the recession for being unable to maintain the facilities.
Alright, alright. Yeah, the recession….good excuse, but come on. If motorists can’t afford a cheap motel to bone-ity, bone, bone, bone…well—yes, my friends, the recession is in full effect.
