Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy. How can you possibly remake The Karate Kid without Pat Morita?! RIP to my beloved MIYAGI. He cannot be replaced! And sorry a fucking 10-year-old playing Ralph Macchio’s part??? Errr I love you, Will Smith, but why you do this to me? 

So anyway although Will denied the rumors last year, it is confirmed that his son, Jaden Smith, will play Macchio’s role which starts shooting in Beijing and other places next year.

Variety also reports that the producer, Jerry Weintraub, from the original movie will also be producing the remake.  Chris Murphy will write the shitty script that will more than likely bomb at the box office.  I need the original MR. MIYAGI! Wax on, wax off!

I guess it pays to be Will Smith’s kid.  Next thing you know, we’ll have Jada Pinkett Smith playing the love interest…wait.  That’s both disgusting and wrong on my part.  Ouchie.  Maybe we’ll get lucky with Tom Cruise.  Oooooh! Since we’re going younger, let’s throw Suri Cruise into the mix
