I look at Steve Jobs and all I want to do is hug him.  He looks like he could be your favorite uncle at Christmas who gets drunk and hits on all of your friends.  It works for me.  So this is saddening.  For some time now it’s been rumored that Jobs has been quite ill.  Recent pictures have shown a very skinny and thinning guy which got people talking.

Earlier this month, he took to the Apple website to address the public through an e-mail on the matter of his health.  He explained how he had hoped it would be his first and final statement on his declining health.  Unfortunately, it seems as though things have taken a turn for the worst because Jobs just sent out another e-mail stating he would be taking a medical leave until June.

He says:

“Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought. In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.”

Sad.  Maybe since he’s going to be relaxing and trying to get better at home, he can stop over during Easter and play Uncle Stevie to all of my girlfriends.  I’ll supply the booze.
