I wouldn’t approve this shit even if Will Smith paid me to.  Jackie Chan as Miyagi???  10-year-old Jaden Smith playing the role of a high school Daniel LaRusso? This has SHIT branded on it.  Needless to say, the original Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio does not approve of the Will and son remake.  

He basically says the public is sick and tired of studios making shitty remakes.  AGREED.  He also says he’s pretty sure it will flop because of that…ouch! In a new interview, Macchio says: 

“From my personal view, filling the void of what Mr. Miyagi was - and the magic of that character - is going to be the toughest task. I don’t know where the romantic story-arc goes [with Jayden Smith] at that age.”

I could barely stomach Jackie Chan in Rush Hour 1….2 and 3 and that shit was supposed to be amazing.  www.moviefather.com it one day when I’m about to gauge my eyes out at work…but that’s even a maybe.
