Oscar nominations are in and leading the nods is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button which takes 13 categories!!! The record for most nominations is 14 held by Titanic and All About Eve.  Both films went on to win Best Picture.  Should be interesting because this movie didn’t take home much during the Golden Globes.  Slumdog Millionaire was also nominated for a bunch of awards.

Also highlights include Heath Ledger’s nod as Best Supporting Actor for The Dark Knight.  Sad he doesn’t get to see any of this.  Along with Brad Pitt’s movie ranking it in, his lov-ah, Angelina Jolie, also scored a Best Actress nom for The Changeling.

Mickey Rourke is also up as Best Actor for The Wrestler in which he took home the Golden Globe for.

Kate Winslet also got shafted out for Revolutionary Road, and was instead nominted as Best Actress for The Reader.  She was nominated Best Supporting Actress for The Reader at the Golden Globes and took him both that and Best Actress for Revolutionary Road.
