All Hope May Be Gone For Natasha Richardson
Sad news to report. According to People, family friends of Natasha Richardson and husband, Liam Neeson have given up hope of the actress surviving. A close friend to the actress described the situation as:
“There is no chance… It is a fact that her heart is beating but she is brain dead.”
So terrible. Her condition is being described by doctors as a “leakage of blood between the brain and skull.” It’s said that Richardson’s family will soon have to face the decision on whether or not they should continue to administer medical assistance. Friends have said:
“It’s not official yet, but they basically will detach her.”
Even Fox News is reporting that the actress, who was critically injured while skiing on a beginner’s slope in Canada Monday, is brain dead. Fox is also reporting that Richardson is
“being transported back to New York City before she is to be taken off life support.”
Along with Fox and People, TMZ has gathered some information about Natasha’s ambulance ride in New York to Lenox Hill Hospital. It’s said that was “unconscious,” her pupils “non-reactive,” her skin was “pale” and she was suffering from “major head trauma.” It’s also being reported that Liam was right by her side, holding her hand the entire time, and caressing her face as he sat in silence. When the plane landed in Jersey, medical assistance on board told members of the ambulance team that Richardson was in fact “brain dead.” Mother and actress Vanessa Redgrave and her sister were seen entering into the hospital last night. Sad.
